*A complete reference guide for examiners conducting assessments on Clarilux*

*This document answers the most frequently asked questions about using Clarilux as an examiner. Topics are organised by feature area for easy reference.*

## Section 1 - Getting Started

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is Clarilux?">
    Clarilux is an integrated platform for medical board success, blending AI simulations with live examiner evaluations. It connects board-certified examiners with candidates preparing for oral board examinations, providing tools to conduct structured assessment sessions, evaluate performance, and support candidates in reaching board readiness.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who is an examiner on Clarilux?">
    Examiners are board-certified specialists or experienced clinicians who conduct mock oral board sessions, provide structured feedback, and grade candidates on the platform. They can operate in the Public Marketplace (open to all candidates) or within a Private Marketplace linked to a specific institution.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I create an examiner account?">
    Navigate to the Clarilux landing page and click **Sign Up** in the top right corner. On the Role Selection page, choose **Examiner**. You will then be presented with three sign-up options:

    * **Sign up with Google:** Register using your existing Google account.
    * **Sign up with Microsoft:** Register using your existing Microsoft account.
    * **Continue with Email:** Register manually by entering your full name, professional email address, and a strong password, then click Create Account.

    Once registered, check your inbox and click the verification link to activate your account. Upon your first login, you will be prompted to set up Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) using Microsoft Authenticator for added security. You can choose to skip this step and complete it later from your Security settings.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens after I create my examiner account?">
    After registration and email verification, you'll go through a **credential verification process** before you can accept sessions. This confirms your **medical license**, **specialty**, and **board certification**, and runs in two steps: first submitting your medical license details, then uploading your board certification document. Once submitted, you'll see a confirmation screen with next steps - reviewing MFA settings, completing your profile, setting your availability, or heading straight to your dashboard.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What equipment and connectivity do I need?">
    For a reliable session experience, you will need:

    * A stable broadband internet connection
    * A functional webcam
    * A working microphone
    * An updated supported browser - Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, or Mozilla Firefox

    **Note:** *A quiet environment is strongly recommended for all sessions.*
